LYNN FRANCIS & JULIE LILLYSTONE     Role – Social Secretary

 Julie (left) and Lynn (right) have been friends for over 35 years! They are both retired and joined the      Ramblers together in 2017. “We do quite a lot of things together; but not everything – Lynn walks          with the Ramblers on Tuesdays (doing the 6 mile walk) and Julie walks at Bradgate Park with the          ‘Walk for Health Group’.” Julie arranges the programme for the Wednesday Evening 4 mile walks           that are run during the summer. She also enjoys exercise classes each week and craftwork; while   Lynn’s   hobbies include Pilates and swimming.

 Julie was a Nurse for 20 years, working both in Hospitals and Community settings. Lynn worked for        Leicester City Council for 25 years as Duty Officer at the Spence Street Sports Centre and as a   swimming teacher.

  They both enjoyed the previous Ramblers Social Events (run so expertly by Eileen and Kev) in which      they participated in the past and would like to help them continue for the future. “We enjoy               organising and socialising, so we expect to have fun with all of you that turn up for the next event!          We’ll keep you posted.”
